Integrity is the alignment of ones inner life with ones outer behavior. Mutual accountability as cultivated through small group interaction (conferencing in the Wesleyan tradition) is a spiritual discipline that can lead to greater levels of integrity. This was the hallmark of early Methodism. Integrity must be forged within the context of intimate community, where attentiveness to one another and trust enable both honesty and vulnerability. Asbury Seminary's Pastoral Seasons as Life and Ministry (PSALM) is an
initiative to promote and sustain pastoral excellence. PSALM addresses
seminarians' and pastoral leaders' needs to be connected to networks
of spiritual friends, as well as to be replenished and sustained by
continuing engagement with classic practices of the Christian life.
PSALM proposes to be a comprehensive, holistic, lifelong
approach to nurturing effective habits of individual and
corporate spirituality and theologically-grounded ministry
practices.
Spiritual Friends Seminars are four-day regionally-based
seminars for ministry leaders to inspire,
encourage, and nurture leadership's key relationships. The
seminars are designed to affect the spiritual life of
those who participate. They take place in a seminar/retreat
setting that requires full participation from those attending.
Spouses are invited to attend.

Recommendations
The following individuals affirm my desire and gifting to serve God through building a strong,
healthy, and effective ministry by God's grace and to the glory of Jesus Christ.
I understand the purpose of the Spiritual Friends Seminars is for a time of renewing,
and deepening of formative commitments made in ministry; of strengthening the spousal
relationship through growing together in these formative commitments; and, of reconnecting
and expanding one’s network of supportive relationships.
